As Aries season comes to a close and we welcome grounded Taurus, there is one more Aries-centered thing I would like to touch on: Aries Personal Planets. Personal Planets include The Sun, Moon, and Rising, which I’ve already covered. This also includes Mercury, Venus and Mars. These are the planets that help shape who we are. These planets are closer to the Earth, therefore they change more often and are more unique to each person.
Mercury in Aries
Sharp • Daring • Innovative • Original • Focused • Bright • Competitive
Famous Mercury in Aries:
Robert Downey Jr., Vincent Van Gogh, Kiera Knightley, William Shatner, Mariah Carey, Kourtney Kardashian, Diana Agron, Jessica Chastain, Jennifer Garner, Kate Hudson
When the planet of communication, creative process, and the information process is in fast-paced Aries, we’re bound to have fresh, innovative ideas flowing. Those with their Mercury in fiery Aries have visionary intelligence. They are quick talkers, loud and feisty. They enjoy stimulating conversation and prefer to get straight to the point.
They take on new projects with enthusiasm, but they are quick to let one idea go for something more exciting. When they are excited, their communication can be so fun and motivating that it’s contagious. Aries are leaders, quick to adapt to new ways, and get a rise out of leading too. When learning, they don’t want to know all the details. They dismiss what they feel is irrelevant. They like a mental challenge, but on their own terms.
They make quick decisions, because they don’t have time to sit and mull things over. They are driven by instant gratification. They are quick to the point. You can count on them to be straight-forward, even if their Sun Sign is something more indirect. Sometimes they come off as rude or down-right aggressive. Typically, this is a result of frustration. When they encounter opposition to their options, aggression comes forward even more! Those with Aries in their chart tend to be defensive, and those with Mercury Aries specifically are personally attached to their ideas.
Venus in Aries
Confident • Magnetic • Impulsive • Assertive • Independent • Exciting • Initiative • Courageous • Aware
Famous Aries Venus:
Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Robert Downey Jr., Marilyn Monroe, Helena Bonham Carter, Mariah Carey, Shakira, Audrey Hepburn, Keira Knightley, Tyler The Creator, Johnny Cash, Jack Nicholson, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elizabeth Taylor, Gigi Hadid, George Clooney, Sarah Jessica Parker
When Venus unites with fiery Aries, it’s impossible to ignore the yearnings. Venus is the planet of love, money, beauty and desire. When she’s with Aries, we’re reminded that our own needs matter and it’s up to us to make sure they get met! Those with Venus in Aries are independent spirits that know what they want. They are confident, direct, and have no problem making the first move.
This placement is often considered difficult, because of Venus’ calm sweetness that doesn’t necessarily align with the rambunctious, selfish style of Aries! While Venus usually thrives with two-way partnerships, Aries is all about self-love. They put themselves first, and try new things to discover what will satisfy them the most. It’s only when they understand, love and embrace themselves that they will draw the best things into their life!
These individuals are magnetic and lively. They easily catch the attention of others and leave an impact. People feel excitement around them. They like active, bright friends who enjoy adventure. If they see someone like themselves, they get inspired. They won’t shy away from new things. They’re eager to rush into new situations and sometimes get in over their head. They tend to give into making impulsive purchases. They need that instant gratification! That makes it hard for them to plan for the future though.
They flirt by being upfront and direct. They will try to win people over by expressing how innovative and independent they are. Their style of love can be very ‘me’-centered. The right person will find this approach charming. In love, they are hopelessly addicted to the conquest. They require stimulation for the relationship to remain fresh. They need someone to feed their need for spontaneity and appreciate their playfulness. It’s hard for them to wait for things to come to them. Their feelings can wane, they can get bored, and it’s hard for them to continue faking interest.
They know they can have all they desire in life, and with their confidence, charm and self-awareness it makes it all the more easy!
Mars in Aries
Impulsive • Vibrant • Independent • High-Energy • Assertive • Empowered
Famous Aries Venus:
Margot Robbie, Prince, Hayley Williams, James McAvoy, Zoe Kravitz, Bernie Sanders, Russell Brand, Kourtney Kardashian, Paris Hilton, Tyra Banks, Angelina Jolie, David Letterman, Emma Stone, Jared Leto, Daniel Craig, Jessica Lange, Steve Jobs
Mars in Aries is one of the most powerful places that the Red Planet can live! Mars is the natural ruler of Aries, making it at home in this sign. Those with Mars in Aries are not afraid to take action and are very courageous. They are brash, impulsive, and tend to dive in first and think later. They have a feisty temper and sex drive, easily ignited and just as easily dissipated. These placements hit the ground running, but don’t always make it to the finish line.
Usually, they’re one step ahead of all of us. They don’t like a predictable life. They enjoy fresh energy and new ideas. They aren’t known for sticking things through, so relationships can be difficult for them. They come on very strong with their passions and they have a high libido. They expect everyone to be as straight-forward as them. They get frustrated with convoluted plans and those who they consider to be slow-acting. Aries tend to have child-like qualities; good and bad. They can be immature, rude and impatient. They are very clear about what they want.
They shine in roles where their job is to be the catalyst. They can trigger the momentum it takes to get things started. They’re impulsive, and their first instinct is to take action. Their ability to get things done surprises people. When they listen to their instincts, things get done fast and they make decent decisions. They have quick flare-ups of anger, but they tend to not hold grudges. They like to move on quickly and deal with their issues head-on. They must learn as they go with their tempers.
